Geometric eyes, beauty trend I love

Beauty trend that just translates perfectly from the catwalk to a night out this winter? Geometric eye make up. It's bright, it's lovely and you can actually do it as a civilian. Purple lipstick? Not so much? Yellow nails? You might look a tad jaundice-y. But some strategically angular colour around the eyes looks pretty cool and give me a break from my everyday look.

To
get Daniel Sandler's geometric eyes for the party season this winter, all you need is the Daniel Sandler SERENE dimensional shadow 811 (a limited edition shade), FREESIA FREEZE sheer satin shadow 575, SEA SPRAY sheer satin shadow 5A15 (the limited edition turquoise shade that comes out early Spring 2009), Urban Retreat mascara on top and bottom.

This eye makeup goes smashingly with a matte sequin, aubergine Ashish shift I was given for the evening:

Ashish Purple Dress at Matches Fashion

And the geometric makeup is WEARABLE. The runway geometric makeup is wicked but probably not something you can get away with unless at a fancy dress (costume) party. I wore it for the Cult Beauty launch party and the look was a hit with the purple dress, bright colours and geometric eyes. Surprisingly, all three together didn't make me look silly or over-the-top. The eye make up was subtle enough and the matte, aubergine sequins complemented it.
