Since celebrity makeup artists are in the news due to the Golden Globes this weekend, we thought we'd showcase a few of our favourite celebrity make up artists. If you're not familiar with Cult Beauty expert Mary Greenwell, here's a very small sample of her amazing work. And we're sure you're familiar with Princess Di's transformation from plain Jane into glamorous royal... yeah, that was Mary.

Great work! I love the fresh faces and sometimes a contrast of color.
Too bad she can't do my makeup.
I had the great privilege of being made up by MG in Selfridges about 12 years ago. She was doing makeovers by appointment and was between customers. I went up to her and said she should tell magazines to run articles about people with my colouring (pale skin, black eyebrows and prematurely grey hair). She said, 'I LOVE your colouring. Come up here!' And she proceeded to apply make up with her big, soft hands. She didn't use brushes at all. Her next appointment turned up before she could choose a lipstick for me... But I looked wonderful anyway.
I've always loved her work. She's in John Lewis in February: I might just go and ask for my lips to be coloured. :-)
